Love hunter.

I used to look for love.
I would turn malls upside down searching for "him"
I would walk miles and miles hoping we would "bump into each other"
just like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.
I would walk around hoping he sees my "good side"
My eyes would wonder around the restaurant curious as to whether or not "he sees me"
I would spend hours and hours in front of the mirror in case "I met the one"
I would not mind spending money I don't have with the hope of getting an outfit in case "He saw me'
If I was amongst a crowd the day we meet I want him to spot me a mile away and know "That's her"
I kept a mirror and a whole beauty kit in my bag in case I needed an emergency "fixing" for chapped lips or an escaped booger OH NO!
If for some reason the universe was cruel to me and I woke up with a bad hair day, I would have rather skipped school than leave the house I mean what if ..."today was the day"?
I could not possibly let him see me like this???!!!!!!
I used to look for love.
I used to hunt for it, everyday.
Faithfully.

One day
That day
In tears I asked God a question
"Why can't I be loved?"
He said
"I have always loved you"

I found love.
I found it the day I stopped looking for it.
I realised that it never left me
It always saw me, it always loved me,was always with me
It never wavered
It was not based on my dry lips, bad hair,or the clothing I wore
It saw me at my worst and down right ugliest
But it never changed
It was a love that no man can ever give me
No parent can ever show me
No friend can ever buy me
The love I found was worth more than gold, silver and diamonds
The love I found was perfect.
Unconditional
It was a love meant ...
For me
As I am.
It was God's love
