Men willing to love

I want to meet a generation of young men willing to shed a tear in the name of loving God. Men who aren’t ashamed to chase the word because their hunger allows it. Men ready to show that they care about others regardless of who is watching. Young men unafraid of what their peers will think of them because they believe love is worth it, even if it makes them look like a fool to their friends. They don’t mind being seen loving God openly, men who want to be caught reading the bible in a minibus taxi or praying in their varsity dormitories at the top of their voices. Men proud to love. Young men who will be willing to sacrifice their ego’s for the women God has assigned to their hearts. Men, willing to shed their ideas of the definition of success and know that all we women want is love and security before wealth, a Golf 6 and a 3 bedroomed house in Sandton. Brothers who aren’t afraid to stand up and say “I have nothing but my heart to give you for now, but please wait on me and I will provide for you”. I want to meet men who aren’t afraid to love their wives publicly and are not ashamed to be seen holding flowers to take home to her. Fathers who aren’t too proud to be alone at Checkers or Spar buying goodies for their children because love has that effect. Dad’s who are not too macho to tie their daughter’s hair up in the car outside her primary school because love does that to men. Bo bhuti who make time for their wives because chasing a reputation in the business world does not amount to the sound of his wife’s laughter when he whispers sweet nothings into her ear. A man willing to turn down a business lunch in order to watch his only daughter play the pumpkin in a school play. I want to meet a man unafraid to love because he knows that with all his being that... God is love.
